On Dec. 8 officers were called to investigate the theft of camper batteries. The reporting party told officers they noticed the batteries were gone and the wires were left handing off the camper.

STOLEN BATTERIES: On Dec. 8 officers were called to investigate the theft of camper batteries. The reporting party told officers they noticed the batteries were gone and the wires were left handing off the camper. Officers called a nearby shop that is known to buy used batteries. The store owner gave officers a description of a young male who comes in almost every morning to sell batteries for cash.

LARGE ITEMS TAKEN: Officers were called on Dec. 8 to investigate the theft of some large items off a porch, including a bird cage, an iron table, a topiary and a copper wall hanging. The reporting party told officers the items were very heavy and would most likely need a vehicle to make a getaway. Neighbors in the area said they witnessed nothing strange.
