Pacific Science Center will host kids rocketry seminar at Bonney Lake library

The Pacific Science Center will be in the area June 9 to explore spacecraft design and build a water-powered rocket at both the Bonney Lake and Buckley libraries.

Kids in East Pierce County can learn about rockets through a series of hands-on activities at their local libraries this month.

The Pacific Science Center will be in the area June 9 to explore spacecraft design and build a water-powered rocket at both the Bonney Lake and Buckley libraries.

The program is for children ages 10 and up. The events are free and sponsored by the Friends of Libraries.

Things get started at 11 a.m. June 9 at the Buckley Library, 123 S. River Ave. Registration is available at the library.

Then, the program heads down state Route 410 for a 2 p.m. start at the Bonney Lake Library, 18501 90th St. E. Registration for the Bonney Lake event is available online at www.piercecountylibrary.org/calendar.
