The 3rd Annual Pierce County Aerospace Summit will include opportunities for local suppliers to share best practices regarding exporting, lean practices, workforce training and succeeding in the global supply chain.

Jim Billing, director of market analysis for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, will present the aerospace giant’s updated market outlook in the keynote address. Other speakers include representatives from Toray Composites, General Plastics, ThyssenKrupp Aerospace, AIM, the US Export Assistance Center, the Governor’s Office of Aerospace, and state schools Superintendent Randy Dorn, among others.

Media are invited to cover the summit, which is only open to aerospace industry stakeholders.

The summit is hosted by County Executive Pat McCarthy and the Tacoma-Pierce County Economic Development Board to improve regional collaboration. Here are some key details:
