Books on Tapps, the Bonney Lake Pierce County Library book club, will hold the following meetings at 7 p.m. Thursdays:
May 29: “Honeymoon in Tehran: Two Years of Love and Danger in Iran” by Azadeh Moaveni
The author describes her return to Iran as a reporter for Time magazine, her marriage to an Iranian man, the impact of the repressive Iranian society, and her family’s decision to leave Iran.
June 26: “The Descendants” by Kaui Hart Hemmings
A descendant of royalty and one of the largest landowners in Hawaii struggles to deal with his out-of-control daughters—and his comatose wife, who soon will be removed from life support.
“Mrs. Kennedy and Me” by Clint Hill, with Lisa McCubbin
The Secret Service agent for the glamorous and intensely private Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy went from reluctant guardian to fiercely loyal watchdog and, in many ways, her closest friend.
The book club is free and open to the public.
