After a stumble, Panthers return to winning ways | Bonney Lake Soccer

Madi Adams had three goals and an assist during a 5-0 win over Decatur and the picked up another goal and another assist in the Panthers' 2-0 victory over Lakes as goalie Sydney Bennett added to her shutout total for the season.

Madi Adams had a big week for the Panther soccer team as Bonney Lake picked up a pair of shutout victories this past week.

Adams had three goals and an assist during a 5-0 win over Decatur and the picked up another goal and another assist in the Panthers’ 2-0 victory over Lakes as goalie Sydney Bennett added to her shutout total for the season.

The wins are also a return to form for the Panthers, who had shut out five consecutive opponents before dropping their two games the prior week.

Against Decatur, Ashley Cade opened the scoring for the Panthers in the 14th minute off an assist from Adams, who then took an assist from cade in the 29th minute t6o score her first goal of the night.

Then, in the 34th minute, Adams did it again, this time off an assist from Jessyka Seger. BUt she wasn’t done yet. Just two minutes later, Adams scored again, this time on a pass from Brittany Martin.

In the 79th minute, McKenzie Sjoden made it 5-0 off Seger’s second assist of the night.

On Thursday, Bonney Lake headed to Lakes for a divisional showdown that stayed nil-nil through the first half.

But in the 49th minute, Cade took a pass from Adams to get the Panthers on the board. In the 56th minute, Adams got a goal of her own off an assist from Allie Kober and Bonney Lake hung on for a 2-0 victory.

The wins boost Bonney Lake;s record to 8-4-1 with a South Puget Sound League 3A record of 6-2-0.

The Panthers were scheduled to play Peninsula Tuesday and at Enumclaw Thursday.
