SAWED-OFF: Officers were called to a pawn shop on Sept. 10 after a man tried to sell an illegally modified weapon – a sawed-off shotgun where the barrel of the gun was shorter than the 18 inches allowed by law. However, the shotgun came into the man’s possession from a gun trade, and he said he was unaware of its illegal status. Officers took possession of the gun.
