Bonney Lake High School students and families participated in Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School Program Aug. 29, raising $1,560 for the school’s football program.

Event participants from the community arrived at the school Aug. 29 to show their support by participating in the Drive One 4 UR School event sponsored by Riverside Ford and Ford Motor Co.

Seventy-eight people each raised $20 for school by test-driving a Ford vehicle. Once it’s determined each Drive One 4 UR School participant came from a unique household, Riverside Ford and Ford Motor Co. will give $20 for each verified participant to the school’s football program.

Drive One 4 UR School, which launched in 2007, demonstrates Ford Motor Co.’s commitment to supporting local communities in good times and in bad.

During the past two years, Ford Motor Co. has provided more than $1.3 million to high schools that have participated in the program, with plans to continue and help high schools raise money to support their sports and extracurricular activities.

“Our schools need our support more than ever, so we’re glad we could help Bonney Lake High School through the event,” said Don Gillis, dealer principal at Riverside Ford. “It was fun to spend time with our community and we received a lot of positive comments on our quality Ford products.”
