The Stage 2 burn ban in Pierce County is still in effect.
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency did downgrade the burn ban for Snohomish County down to a Stage 1 and ended the burn ban in King County.
Until further notice, the bans will remain.
The air quality in the Puget Sound area may improve for short periods, however Pierce and Snohomish counties will continue to see stagnant air conditions and pollution levels that could reach unhealthy for sensitive groups, according to a press release by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency.
