Spring sports means sprinting, jumping, vaulting and more as Panthers track once again takes to the field.
Several stars from last season are returning to the team, said 11-season coach Andy Foster, and he expects a successful season.
“We have a few outstanding performers that need to be closely watched this year,” Foster said.
Panther Caleb Davis, the team’s record holder in shot put and discus, is returning, as well as Bennett Hillier, the team’s record holder for the 800 meter, who Foster said is being highly recruited by colleges.
Brock Frame, record holder for the 3,200 meter, is also coming back onto the team. Frame was Bonney Lake’s No. 1 cross country runner in the fall and South Puget Sound League runner of the year.
Mykel Fisher, 1600-meter record holder, and 110 hurdles record holder Cody Miller also have a spot on the team.
Other athletes on the team include: Seniors Kyle Ashby, Donnie Hofstrand, Alberto Iadarola, Jared Meister, Nathan Monsrud, Jesus Ochoa, Pattrick Oxile, Joe O’Reilly, Tristan Papcun, Ryan Sadler, Cody Sapp, Austin Schweyen, Pietro Silvagni, Jacob Stevenson, Robert Summers and Eric Voellger.
Some of the juniors are Jeston Blackard, Isaiah Brooks, Josh Chapman, Caleb Davis, Jason Day, Travis Dunn, Mykel Fisher, Allen Fletcher, William Glick, Colby Glivar, Tristan Glivar, Zach Goff, Marcus Hamilton, Tommy Hean, Trent Hiner, Ben Hughes, Zach Koeller, Kaesen Ludwig, Jake Martin, Cody Miller, Brandon Moberg, Jovanny Rodriguez, Jacob Stevenson, Nicolas Tan and Casey Todd.
Sophomores include Jacob Ashby, Anthony Brown, Bailey Cook, Spencer Damp, Austin DeCeault, Olaf Eriksen, Jaiden Fulton, Oudhom Fulton, Zach Hangas, Jon Geiger, Donovan Henderson, Logan Howard, Alema Oliva, Antonio Phillips, Fisher Pierre, Victor Polikarpov and Billy Rohrbough.
The Panthers have a strong freshmen group including Mario Alcaraz-Monteverde, Jeremiah Banks, Orrin Brateng, Kyle Cochran, George Galves-Streich, Josh Horn, Timothy Howe, Bull Krehbiel-Richardson, Ben Montoya, Hunter Pecheos, Christian Poulsen, Kyle Schoen, Andrew Stevenson, and Grady Stretz.
