First of all, thank you to our amazing firefighters for their skillful and swift response when my son, Beau’s life was hanging in the balance. Because of them, he was stabilized and transported to Harborview, as quickly as possible.

While we waited in the ICU that fateful night, our firefighters, on their own time, came to visit us and show their love and support they had for our family.

Did you know:

If the fire department has two calls simultaneously, they are not staffed to handle both? There were 328 calls last year they were delayed in responding to.

If they were unable to respond that night, I can say with confidence, that Beau would not be with us today. No one ever thinks they are going to be in this situation. I thank God that they were able to respond and not tied up with another call!

We are so lucky to have firefighters that share the love and support of this community along with us. Firefighters who are committed to helping us, when we need it most.
