A pair of record-breaking performers have highlighted efforts thus far by the Enumclaw High girls swim and dive team.
Sophomore Elise Pratt set school records in the 100-meter breaststroke during back-to-back home meets, qualifying for November’s Class 4A state meet in the process.
Abbie Jo Carlson continues to break her own school record for a six-dive meet, also preparing for postseason competition.
The EHS program suffered its first loss of the season Sept. 27, falling 100-76 to visiting Auburn Riverside.
Turning in winning performances were the foursome of Pratt, Ryley Pilato, Margaret Petellin and Emilie Weyer; they combined to take top honors in both the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay. Winning individual events were Weyer in the 50 freestyle; Pilato with a personal-best time in the 500 freestyle; Pratt in both the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke; and Carlson in diving.
The Enumclaw girls are 2-1 in North Puget Sound League 4A meets.
