The first radio stations were licensed in the early 20s, so our very own KCFC (for “Cascade Foothills Chorale”) must have been one of the first on the air. And what kind of songs would you have listened to? How about “Blue Skies”? For the 30s, “Embraceable You” and “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”. During the war years, remember “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square”? Of course, any list of wonderful songs in the 60s must include the Beatles. There’ll be a radio announcer, and you can be part of the studio audience as we take KCFC through decades, from the 20s to the 60s.

Bits of Plateau history will be mixed in with the songs, along with commercials and ads from each decade.

The choir will perform at the Chalet Theater in downtown Enumclaw, the perfect venue for this program! You can be part of the studio audience for two days only, Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20. Both performances will be matinee performances starting at 2:30.

(You may see some flyers around town listing Saturday’s performance as starting at 7 p.m., but there was a change of plans. The correct time is 2:30.)

Tickets are only $10. You can buy them from any choir member or at the performance. For more information, please call Wynona Hasbrook at (360) 825-4259 or visit our web site, cfchorale.org.
