Buckley resident Katherine “Toots” Bonato, 86, died Aug. 9, 2011, in Puyallup.
She was born Jan. 16, 1925, in McKenna, Wash., to Nickola and Millie Hudyber. She lived in South Prairie and attended Buckley High School. She worked in the kitchens of St. Paul Logging Co. camps until she married William H. Partin in 1942. He died during World War II. She later married Jack Bonato Jr. of Wilkeson. She enjoyed travels to China and the Philippines with friend Pearl Young and to Hawaii with friend Beverly Aldrich and her second husband. She was a member of the Buckley Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by sons Dwight W. Partin of South Prairie, Jack E. Bonato of the home and Charles L. Bonato and wife Becky of South Prairie.
At her request, a private, family service took place.
Arrangements were by Weeks’ Funeral Home, Buckley.
