Enumclaw resident Judy Bruggeman, 68, died Oct. 5, 2013.
She was born Feb. 4, 1945, in Seattle. She had retired from the Enumclaw School District were she was cheer coach, a paraeducator and head of the Transition Program for students with special needs. She received the Golden Apple Award in 2007, recognizing her as one of the top 10 educators in Washington state. She enjoyed cooking, working in her garden and watching her grandchildren participate in sports. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by husband Joel Bruggeman of Enumclaw; son Dean Bruggeman and wife Tami of Buckley; daughter Debbie Fabris and husband Jeff of Enumclaw; brother Gary Hedlin and wife Sandy of Auburn; and six grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. and a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, both at Sacred Heart Church.
