Woody Leon Ellingson died Oct. 26, 2011. He was 61.
He was born Nov. 30, 1949, to Ervind “Ole” and Betty Ellingson of Buckley and graduated from White River High in 1968. He joined the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. He later worked for Gonnason’s Marina in Kent for 39 years.
He is survived by wife of 17 years Penny Ellingson of Tacoma; sons Kristopher Ellingson, Bill Parkhurst and wife Gwen and Steve Parkhurst; sister Terry Richardson and husband Ben of Buckley; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Remembrances may be made in his name to the FISH Food Bank of East Tacoma or a charity of the donor’s choice.
