Lifetime Plateau resident Allen L. Miller, 65, died Oct. 1, 2012.
He was born June 30, 1947, in Auburn to Kenneth and Tillie Miller. He attended White River High School, class of 1965, and served in the U.S. Navy, serving two tours in Vietnam. On Nov. 21, 1971, he married Wendy Whitmore and together they raised three children. He worked for Weyerhauser until 1984 and served as a volunteer firefighter in South Prairie. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family and friends and making memories with his grandchildren.
He is survived by wife Wendy Miler of Enumclaw; son Tom Miler and wife Heather of Roberts, Mont.; daughters Leanne Horton of Enumclaw and Michelle O’Neill and husband Larry of Tacoma; sister Barbara Wigton of South Prairie; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sister Janet Shelton and granddaughter Hannah Miller.

A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
