Black Diamond resident Henry “Hank” Barnes died Dec. 16, 2013, in Enumclaw. He was 86.

He married Bernice Cartwright in 1955 and worked for Kenworth Truck Co., retiring in 1990 following 45 years of loyal service. He loved living in Black Diamond and many remember him sitting on his front porch and waving to all who honked.

He is survived by children Gail Barnes of Amboy, Wash., Russell Barnes of Fort Worth Texas, Charlotte Berg of Auburn, Wash., and Mary Lewis of Buckley; sisters Marie Evens and Hazella Peterson, both of Black Diamond; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice and a brother.
