Enumclaw resident Dorothy Arlene Huizenga, 77, died May 31, 2012.
She was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Edgerton, Minn., the fourth of 15 children born to Henry and Madeline Vanderburg. After the Vanderburg family moved to Bellflower, Calif., she soon met Gilbert Huizenga, who she married May 16, 1952. They decided to buy a dairy farm and move their family to Washington in 1977. She was involved in every aspect of their church, business and those around her. The love of her family was the cornerstone of her life.
She is survived by her husband Gilbert; children Gloria, Ted, Debra, Garry, Darrel, Gilbert, Tamara and Todd; 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Wabash Presbyterian Church.
