Lifelong Plateau resident Daniel Vernon Vesey, 66, died June 14, 2014.
He was born Nov. 1, 1947, in Buckley to Vernon and Marjorie Vesey. He moved to Palmer and the Tacoma Water headworks in September 1953, graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1965 and attended Green River College for one year, until he was drafted in 1969. He was discharged in October 1973. He married and moved to Enumclaw where he was employed by Weyerhaeuser until the local operation was closed.
He is survived by mother Marjorie Vesey of Enumclaw; daughter Jennifer Barney and husband Clark of Gig Harbor, Wash.; son Carl Vesey and wife Kelsey of Tenino, Wash.; brother Daryl Vesey and wife Tracey of Sumner; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father in November 2002.
A graveside service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday, June 23, at Buckley City Cemetery.
