Former Enumclaw resident Nadine (Moergeli) Carroll died Nov. 17, 2013.
She was born Aug. 1, 1926, the oldest of five children born to Alice (Thrane) and Ernest Moergeli. She grew up in Enumclaw and after high school attended Linfield College where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Phi. She graduated from the University of Washington and received her training as a medical technologist (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) from Spokane Deaconess School of Medical Technology. She worked at several medical labs and Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She married Chuck Carroll on Nov. 8, 1958, and they made their home in Sedro-Woolley, Wash., for 24 years. When her husband retired, they moved to Sequim, Wash., and built a home in the Sunland golf community. In 1994 they moved to the Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community in Tacoma.
She is survived by daughter Heidi Du Brey and husband Louis of Klamath County, Oregon; brother Donald Moergeli of Enumclaw; and two grandchildren.
Family services will take place at a later date in Sequim.
