ASSAULT

• At 6:38 p.m. Dec. 21, officers responded to report of an assault at a residence on Roosevelt Avenue. Officers determined the assault appeared to have stemmed from alcohol consumption while watching football. One subject was detained on a Black Diamond warrant and later released upon direction of Black Diamond authorities. The other subject was taken into custody to be evaluated and possibly cited for assault.

BUILDING COLLISION

• At 9:48 p.m. Dec. 21, officers responded to a business that had been hit by a green Ford pickup that was driven from the scene. The reporting person believed the driver had been drinking, but was unable to provide a direction of travel. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. Officers later contacted the manager of the business and advised him that the driver had left his information with a statement that he would return and pay for damages the next day.

PUBLIC DISTURBANCE

• On Dec. 20 at 1:09 a.m., officers found an intoxicated male laying under the bushes of a Harmony Lane residence. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

DUI

• At 5:33 a.m. Dec. 20, officers responded to a car colliding with a house. Subjects sustained no injuries but were arrested.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

• At 11:14 p.m. Dec. 18, an officer observed a subject gesturing to juveniles with an ax and handgun on Myrtine Street. He claimed his vehicle had recently been prowled and he was protecting his property. The officer advised him about carrying a concealed weapon while intoxicated and he agreed to go in for the night.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE

• At 10:21 p.m. Dec. 17, officer responded to an anonymous report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Cole Street and Roosevelt Avenue. The vehicle apparently collided with a pole. An officer located a bumper with a license plate still attached, matching a Toyota pickup. The vehicle was located on Lafromboise Street 25 minutes later, unoccupied. Officers were unable to contact vehicle owner on night of report.

DOG ATTACK

• At 2:30 p.m. Dec. 19, a subject entered the lobby of the police department to report he had been bitten by his neighbor’s dog. He advised that he wanted to handle the problem with the dog’s owner but also wanted a report on file.

CIVIL DISPUTE

• At 7:25 p.m. Dec. 20, officers responded to a report of a burglary in process at an apartment building on Park Avenue. On arrival, officers found a female in the residence. Officers determined she was a resident of the apartment, living with her family. She said she was asked to move and agreed to be out of the residence by Jan. 30. Officers noted proof that she lived in the residence and advised her that she could be evicted if her landlord took the proper steps. An officer spoke to the landlord on the phone and advised her that she needed to take the proper steps to evict her renter.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF

• At 3:50 a.m. Dec. 22, an officer was dispatched to South A Street for malicious mischief to a parked vehicle. The officer made contact with the victim, who reported an unknown person threw a large rock at his vehicle, smashing its back window. No witnesses were available at the time of the report, but a possible person of interest was named by the victim.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

• At 12:37 a.m. Thursday, an officer was dispatched to a residence at the intersection of Ryan and Spiketon roads regarding two male subjects threatenting and making obscene gestures to a family in their vehicle. The officer gathered information and performed an area check with negative results.

PHYSICAL CONTROL

• At 3:17 a.m. Thursday, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the cemetery exit. The officer contacted the driver and observed that he was under the influence of intoxicating liquor. After an investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for being in physical control of a motor vehicle while impaired and booked into jail.

THEFT FIRST DEGREE

• At 10:40 p.m. Saturday, an officer responded to a report of a car stolen from a Main Street address. The victim provided the officer with the name and phone number of a male suspect. A short time later the vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner. Investigations will follow up on the person of interest.
