Downtown Enumclaw will be filled with tunes of all types Saturday as the fifth annual Enumclaw Music Festival brings performers to three stages.
The event, free to the public, is again sponsored by the Chalet Arts Showcase Theater.
Festival organizers have dedicated Saturday morning to the children of the community, scheduling entertainers geared toward the younger set. On Stage One, Brian Vogan and Danika Morrow kick things off with “kindie rock” at 9 a.m., followed by singer-songwriter Nancy Stewart at 10:30 and crowd favorite Eric Ode at noon. Ode is making his fourth festival appearance.
Stage One, at the corner of Cole Street and Initial Avenue, will also have performances by the Cascade Recorder Consort at 1:30; keyboardist Norm Ballas at 3; Blue Slide, jazz and blues, at 4:30; The Michael Trew Band, alternative rock, 6 p.m.; and jazz standards from ORB at 7:30.
Stage Two, at the intersection of Initial and Porter Street, features the Federal Way Harmony Kings at 9 a.m.; Jazz Distraction at 11; The Local Boys, classic rock, from 1 to 2 p.m.; The Pleasure Hounds, more classic rock, 3 p.m.; The Clover Creek Ramblers, Celtic/bluegrass, 5 p.m.; and The Ryders Band, Americana/bluegrass, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Stage Three, at Porter Avenue and Griffin Street, opens with the blues/soul sound of Boots and the Broken Laces at 10 a.m. and includes a tribute to 1990s rock with Blackbox from noon to 1 p.m. Following are Celtic Treble at 2 p.m.; The Forgotten 45’s, indie rock, 4 p.m.; and Americana sounds from the Rece Jay Band at 6 p.m. The day closes with a rock/country band, The 410’s, playing from 8 to 9 p.m.
The festival is all about music, but also includes food and art vendors, along with a beer garden.
