The Throwback Classic, a flag-football tussle matching current White River High players against a dads and grads squad, is set for the evening of Aug. 25,

Admission is free for all who might want to watch this year’s swarm of Hornets take on a team consisting of White River alums, fans and fathers of kids on the current roster. The event is a fundraiser for the football program, as participants are asked to pay $20 to take the field and the Hornet booster club will be selling hamburgers.

The game will be played on the natural surface of historic Sheets Field in downtown Buckley.
