• Green River Community College Enumclaw campus gallery presents “Testing Boundaries,” featuring artist Lisa Strauss. The exhibit runs through Dec. 22. • The city of Enumclaw’s Gallery 2008 features Enumclaw photographer Lisa Parsons with Journey to Andean Highlands and Jungles of Peru. The exhibit opens today, Wednesday, and runs through Jan. 7. • A bazaar to benefit the American Cancer Society is planned for the Lake Sawyer Community Center. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 13 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 14. Featured will be handmade items.

Events
• Santa Claus is coming to the Black Diamond Community Center at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Caroling begins at 6:30 p.m. The tree will be lit at 7 p.m. After, community members are invited to join the staff and other community members at the Black Diamond Community Center for refreshments, cocoa and cookies. Tim Perciful and his sled dogs will be giving sleigh rides in the parking lot.
The “Share the Joy” Giving Tree will be available so that all of those community members who want to be Santa’s Little Elves can pick a card and give the gift of joy to a child or senior who needs a little help from Santa this year. All donations are tax deductible.
• The Greenwater Community Center and local merchants will host Greenwater Mountain Holidays Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be a bazaar at the center all three days; a parade and caroling at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, followed by a performance by the Enumclaw Middle School choir and the Christmas tree lighting. • Spend a day strolling through beautifully crafted nativity sets from all around the world at the Latter-day Saints Church’s fifth annual Nativity Exhibit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Maple Valley. A special viewing is available from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 6. This year, activities also include making Christmas cards, ornaments, dress up in nativity clothing and having their picture taken. The Nativity Exhibit, is extending an invitation to the community to participate in this years display. • The Enumclaw Guild of Seattle Children’s hospital will host its annual Christmas luncheon and silent auction today, Wednesday, at the Moose hall. The social will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. D–uring this time people can bid on the auction. • Plateau area residents interested in properly discarding their worn and tattered American flags, can now drop them at Radio Shack in Enumclaw during regular business hours. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1949 will pick up the flags and properly dispose of them.

Buckley Senior Center

• The final Diabetes Awareness class will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The class is free and a variety of topics and questions will be discussed.
• A trip is set to see Life Center’s Singing Christmas Tree Dec. 19. The cost is $20 (plus dinner on your own) and the van leaves the center at 4:30 p.m.
• The Buckley Senior Center offers free van transportation from home to the center for lunch Monday, Tuesday and Friday weekly. Seniors who live within the White River School District are eligible to have the van come pick them up. The van also takes seniors to the post office, food bank, drug store and Farm Fresh Produce.
