Lifetime Enumclaw resident Dorothy Van Hoof died Dec. 6, 2017, at the age of 90.
She was born June 12, 1927, the youngest of Joe and Annie Sturm’s three children. She attended Enumclaw schools and married Les Van Hoof on June 29, 1946. She was, first and foremost, a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working on daily crossword puzzles and will be remembered as welcoming and hospitable to all.
She is survived by sons Frank Van Hoof (Diane) of Buckley and Joe Van Hoof (Marlene) of Enumclaw; sisters-in-law Caroline Wallen, Clara Ogee, Dolores Van Hoof, Kathleen Ingram (Buck), Donna Hiam (Philip), Dolores Van Hoof (Frank); brother-in-law Fred Van Hoof and Gary Satterlund; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 61 years, Les; brother Joe Sturm; sister Lucille Fallen; grandson Gary Van Hoof; and daughter-in-law Sandra Van Hoof.
At her request, there will be no services. Neptune Society was in charge of final arrangements.
