Two Enumclaw High School athletes recently celebrated the opportunity to participate in collegiate athletics. Kaden Anderson and Abbie Jo Carlson signed national letters-of-intent with four-year programs.
Anderson has accepted a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Division II Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
During his senior season, Anderson led the Hornets to a fourth-place finish at the state tournament, shared league Most Valuable Player honors and was named to a Washington team that took on the top players from Oregon. He was an all-league, first-team pick as a junior.
Carlson signed a letter of intent to compete in track and field at Whitworth College in Spokane. The Hornet senior specializes in throwing events.
