Help needed identifying attempted kidnapping suspect in Kent | King County Sheriff’s Office

The suspect is a white male, 6’ 2” thick build, 50-55 years old, with salt and pepper shoulder length hair.

The following is a press release from the King County Sheriff’s Office:

On Monday, August 13, 2018, around midnight, a 16 year old female was walking/jogging in the area of South 272/42 Avenue South in Kent.

The victim turned the corner at S. 272 St/42 AVE S and there was a dark colored SUV sitting on the right side of the roadway.

A male was outside the vehicle. The victim thought things were weird and started to turn around to go the other direction when the suspect grabbed her.

The suspect grabbed the victim’s throat and was able to push her into the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The suspect got the victim’s pants partially down and tried to keep her in the vehicle.

The victim struggled, kicking the suspect, and he fell down. The victim was screaming and honking the vehicle’s horn.

The victim said she was able to scratch the suspects face.

When the suspect got back up from falling he tried to grab the victim again. The suspect grabbed the victim and she took off her sweatshirt to get away.

The suspect then grabbed the victim’s leg and her shoe came off. The victim was able to run away and flag down a passing vehicle for help.

Suspect:

• White male, 6’ 2” thick build, 50-55 years old, Salt/pepper shoulder length hair

• Wearing all dark clothing

• Suspect was driving an older dark colored 4 door SUV similar to a Toyota 4 Runner.
