Nolan James Branch of Fruitland, Washington, died Nov. 26, 2018. He was 31.
He grew up in Bonney Lake and graduated from White River High School. At 18 he started working at Icon Materials in the shop and then moved to job sites after completing training through Operating Engineers Local 302. In 2013 he went to work for Rich Richmond Logging of Chewelah, Washington, where he remained until the present. In the late summer, if needed, the crew would switch to firefighting where he cleared roads for fire crews.
He loved the mountains, operating equipment, family, work families and friends on both sides of the state.
He is survived by his parents, James and Glenda Branch; grandparents Marvin and Joyce Branch and Irvin McGehee; sister Kelli Branch; brother Charles (Chuck) Branch; and partner Stephanie Gasseling.
A celebration of his life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Buckley Eagles.
