Gary Petitclerc died unexpectedly Dec. 24, 2018, at his home in Enumclaw.

He was born Sept. 5, 1938, in Sultan, Washington, to the late Edith (McCarty) and Eugene Petitclerc. He spent most of his life, after three years in the Navy, in Everett, Washington, followed by 10 years living and working in Yakima, before settling in Enumclaw. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed riding his Harley, working on old cars, mowing grass on his tractor, chatting with neighbors or friends and family, and being a devoted Seahawks fan.

He is survived by his wife Susan; sons William Petitclerc of Camano Island, Washington, Duane Petitclerc of Yakima and Shawn Matheson (Nancye) of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Debra Nozawa (Randall) of Tacoma, Merri Pool (Spike) of Lynnwood, Washington, and Holly Kautzman of Buckley; brother Ralph Petitclerc of Everett; and sisters Cheryl Olson (William) of Everett and Joanne Neiffer of Marysville, Washington; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brother Tom and sisters Edith and Arlene.
