Helen P. Bushnell, 68, died March 14, 2019, in Raymond, Washington, after battling a long illness.
She was born June 10, 1940, in Berwind, West Virginia. She was involved in the local community, volunteering her time with the Church of the Nazarene in Bonney Lake, coaching both her daughters’ sports teams through their high school years and working full-time as a professional seamstress. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing softball and bingo, as well as commentating from her living room chair for all the Northwest sports teams, especially the Seahawks, Mariners and Cougars.
She is survived by children Timothy Bushnell of Tumwater, Washington, and Jennifer Bushnell of Kirkland, Washington; sisters Judy Davis of Grayland, Washington, Jean Owens of Topeka, Kansas, and Juanita Scarboro of North Carolina; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Bushnell.
