On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, Phyllis Ranch Clemente peacefully passed away at her home in Grass Valley, CA.
Phyllis was born Nov 14, 1925 in Tribune, Kansas and raised in Buckley, Washington. The third of 11 children, Phyllis grew up treasured within the family. She proved industrious as well as resourceful.
Phyllis attended college, then spent time as a United Airlines stewardess alongside two of her sisters, Janet and Charlotte. This experience fed her passion for adventure. Eventually she decided to sink her roots in sunny California.
Phyllis’ time utilizing her business and secretarial skills allowed her to travel the globe, turning heads and winning hearts wherever she went. She reveled in her close family and friend relationships.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Bill Sprague (1979) and Rudy Clemente (2005); by her father Jack, mother Clara, brothers Bob, Larry, Richard and Jackie; by her sisters Faye, Janet and Charlotte. Her surviving sisters, Yvonne, Darlene and Grace, along with 28 surviving nephews and nieces admired her, cherished her, and now miss her greatly.
A memorial service for Phyllis will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington on Friday June 7 at 1:15 PM.
