The Washington Center for Women in Business announced today that it will be coordinating the Washington competition of the SBA InnovateHER Business Challenge — a national business competition with three cash awards, totaling $30,000. The Seattle Angel Conference and Hub Bellevue are partnering with the WCWB for this exciting competition, which takes place in Bellevue on March 30.

InnovateHER provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase products or services that have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families have the potential for and fill a need in the marketplace.

The WCWB will be hosting training sessions available to entrepreneurs to prepare for the competition. During the two training sessions, business owners will learn how to evaluate their business model and pitch your business to angel investors. They will have the opportunity to pitch in front of real angel investors, who will give feedback about the pitch. Training is optional and is not required for participation in the

ChallengeHER competition.

Participants who place in the regional competition March 30 will go on to compete for a place in the national InnovateHER competition, which takes place during Small business Week in Washington, D.C. fro0m May 4 – 8, 2015.
