Visit Rainier has created a new geocaching GeoTour for the Mt. Rainier region! Discovering these 100 geocaches is a new way to experience diverse locations and terrain in and around the park and another way to celebrate 100 years of the National Park Service.

Visit Rainier has created a new geocaching GeoTour for the Mt. Rainier region! Discovering these 100 geocaches is a new way to experience diverse locations and terrain in and around the park and another way to celebrate 100 years of the National Park Service.

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunt using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

Getting started is easy

1. Download the Series # 2 Passport.

2. Download and read the Guidelines.

3. Load a free Geocaching app or grab your GPS device.

4. Send in your completed Passport to receive your trackable pathtag.

5. With four completed Passports you will receive a commemorative and trackable Rainier Centennial GeoCoin.
