ENUMCLAW
April 1
– After hearing of threats being made, police responded to the Enumclaw Aquatic Center. An informational report was taken.
– A Loraine Street resident reported that an unidentified man had dumped human waste on the front door. An officer responded and took a report.
– Police responded, along with personnel from the Enumclaw Fire Department, to a chimney fire at a Chinook Avenue location.
March 31
– Employees from a city grocery store reported the theft of alcohol. Officers responded but were unable to locate a suspect.
– Police were told someone left a trailer at the Enumclaw Golf Course. There were no identifiable numbers or markings. It was left on the grounds in case someone returned for it.
– Police were flagged down at 10:43 a.m. by a citizen who reported a man was making rude gestures while standing near a McHugh Avenue business. Officers responded, contacted the man in question and corrected his behavior.
March 30
– Police were asked to serve court papers on an individual at a Spruce Drive address. The individual was located and the papers were served; the petitioner was notified, as was the court system.
– A report was taken after police learned of vehicles being damaged at a city automobile dealership.
– At 4:25 a.m., police were told of a man hitting an ATM with a board and yelling. Officers responded to the Third Street location and contacted the individual, who was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for an involuntary commitment.
March 29
– A man was reportedly littering in a parking lot in front of a Roosevelt Avenue business. After officers responded the issue was settled.
– A report was received regarding a confused man attempting to get into a closed building on Cole Street. He was provided a ride home.
– A citizen arrived at the police station lobby to report an incident that occurred at the city’s dog park. Officers advised of possible options and noted, if necessary, King County Animal Control would be notified.
– Police responded to an afternoon collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Cedar Street and Griffin Avenue. A report was taken.
– Police responded to Black Diamond to assist officers who were dealing with a vehicle prowl at a Newcastle Drive location.
March 28
– Police made an afternoon traffic stop at Warner Avenue and state Route 410. The driver was arrested due to an outstanding warrant while passengers were advised of warrants of their own before being released. The driver was taken to the police station for booking.
– A 3:37 p.m. traffic stop resulted in the driver being cited and released for being in possession of a suspended license. The suspect also was booked on an arrest warrant that had been issued by Black Diamond. The vehicle was released to a passenger.
March 27
– Police received word of someone attempting to break into a van at a Roosevelt Avenue location. Police arrived and found the son of the van owner who was retrieving keys that had been locked inside.
– A citizen asked to speak with an officer regarding an unwanted individual at a Mountain Villa Drive address. Contact was made and possible options were explained.
– Police headed to an Osceola Street location shortly before 1 a.m. after being told of suspicious vehicles in a parking lot. At the scene they found people playing basketball.
March 26
– A loud party had police responding just before midnight to a Lowell Avenue residence. They contacted the homeowner and the music was turned off.
March 24
– Employees at a city grocery store called police after someone attempted to steal produce. A suspect was arrested for theft.
BLACK DIAMOND
March 30
– Officers stopped a vehicle on 215th Place Southeast due to an expired registration. It was further determined the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.
– An officer was dispatched to the 29000 block of 220th Place Southeast after the department took a complaint from a resident who was upset that a truck was repeatedly parked near his property and the truck tires were hitting his decorative bricks. Contact was made with the truck owner who agreed to park somewhere else in the future.
March 29
– At 10 p.m. city police responded to the 29000 block of Green River Gorge Road to assist King County deputies at the scene of a collision. City officers were the first to arrive and tended to an injured driver who was trapped in his vehicle. After he was extricated by fire department personnel the driver was airlifted to Harborview Hospital. Deputies were to investigate the collision.
– Police responded to an address on Southeast 288th Street in reference to a fraud. An investigation was started and a report was taken.
March 28
– An officer was asked by Enumclaw police to confirm a Black Diamond arrest warrant. After the warrant was confirmed the individual was booked into the Enumclaw jail.
– A caller told police about a vehicle that appeared abandoned in a yard in the 32200 block of Mountain View Drive. The vehicle’s owner was contacted and he advised he wanted nothing to do with the automobile. It was eventually towed away.
March 26
– Police took an anonymous report about mail being found in a stream. Officers recovered the mail on Abrams Avenue, determined it was destined for a local address and delivered it to the intended residence.
– Police took a phone call from someone concerned about a forged check. After deciding against making it a criminal matter the reporting party was advised on steps that could be taken to handle the situation as a civil issue.
