July 1

– At 6:17 a.m. police were alerted to someone attaching a hose to a fire hydrant. An officer responded and found it was related to construction work at City Hall.

June 30

– A report was issued just after 9 p.m. regarding fireworks being set off at the Enumclaw cemetery on Southeast 416th Street. An officer responded, contacted a group of people and determined they were not responsible. There were fireworks, but they were being ignited further north, outside Enumclaw jurisdiction.

– After hearing of threats being made an officer responded to a 284th Avenue Southeast location. The officer spoke with both involved parties and advised them to limit their contact until they could cool down.

– At 1:38 a.m. police contacted two individuals at a city automobile dealership. There was no problem, as the people turned out to be janitorial staff. About 20 minutes later an officer contacted people inside a car in the parking lot of a city grocery store. Again, no problems were found.

June 29

– A vehicle’s windows were broken and items were taken from inside the automobile during an incident on Railroad Street. The victim was to send a list of missing items to the responding officer.

– At 10:39 p.m. an officer helped a citizen gain entrance to a Lincoln Avenue residence.

– Police took a report of harassment and an officer responded to a Cinkovich Street location. It was determined that no crime had been committed but the reporting party was told of options for dealing with the situation.

June 28

– Police took an anonymous report regarding a vehicle that had been parked for several weeks, without moving, on Bathke Avenue. An officer contacted the registered owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

– A Laukala Place resident reported at 1:33 a.m. she saw someone through her apartment window. An officer responded and checked the area but could not locate a suspect. Additional patrol was planned.

June 27

– An 11:37 p.m complaint was lodged due to loud music coming from a 244th Avenue Southeast location. Those responsible agreed to turn down the volume and shut the doors.

– A verbal altercation had police responding at 8:26 p.m. to a Gossard Place address. By the time an officer arrived one of the involved parties had departed.

– Police were told at 8:18 p.m. that two males had taken cases of alcohol from a city grocery store. An officer responded, all the stolen merchandise was returned and the suspects were tresspassed from the store.

– A Farrelly Street resident reported someone had cut down part of her tree. There were no immediate suspects; a report was to follow.

– Police received multiple, early-afternoon calls about someone laying in the road in the vicinity of Southeast 473rd Street and state Route 410. When an officer arrived the individual was safely walking on the shoulder of the highway.

– Police responded shortly before noon to a Roosevelt Avenue location after being told a no-contact order was being violated. One person was arrested.

– An officer witnessed a motor vehicle accident while tending to an unrelated collision on Roosevelt Avenue. The unrelated accident occurred on private property and an officer assisted with the exchange of information.

June 26

– A domestic dispute had police responding at 7:45 p.m. to a Chinook Avenue address. Once there, police arrested a man for fourth-degree assault. He was taken to the Enumclaw police station and booked into jail. About 24 hours later a bail bond had been posted and he was released.

– An individual was standing in the middle of the road just before 3 p.m., prompting a visit by an officer. At Griffin Avenue and Fell Street the officer contacted the person who was known to the police. The individual was advised to stay out of the roadway.

– A citizen arrived in the police station lobby at 2:42 p.m. reporting an assault that had occurred earlier. A report was taken and, later in the day, a suspect was arrested, taken to the police station and booked into jail. The following day, after bail had been posted, the subject was released.

– At 12:34 p.m. police were told a man was exposing himself to vehicles passing by on Griffin Avenue. Officers responded but could not locate a suspect.

– A handgun was reported stolen from a Chinook Avenue location. Officers took a report and the gun was entered into the National Crime Information Center.

– Police placed a warning notice on a vehicle that possibly was abandoned in the vicinity of Porter Street and Kibler Avenue. Eventually, the automobile was impounded.

June 25

– A citizen called police at 11:09 p.m. after witnessing a two-vehicle collision at Wells Street and Stevenson Avenue. The witness said the involved vehicles pulled to the side of the road and then departed, leaving items in the roadway. No further information could be provided. Police removed the items left in the road.

– Police were called twice to a Scandia Avenue location and the scene of a domestic dispute. It was determined to be verbal only and the involved female reported she would be leaving for the night. Less than an. hour later the female called the second time, reporting a man was still yelling at her. When police came, the man said he would be going for a walk and the female was getting a ride and would also be leaving.

– A Loraine Street resident reported a theft from a vehicle. A suspect was identified in a photo. The resident declined to press charges and declined to be identified as a victim of a crime. With that, the incident was changed to informational only.

– A chain was cut from a fence at the Enumclaw Expo Center. A report was taken but there were no immediate suspects.

June 24

– The manager of a Stevenson Avenue business asked that police remove people from behind the building. The individuals were contacted and moved along.

– Just before 8 a.m. it was reported that men were harassing people walking through Rotary Centennial Park. Police responded and the men moved along.

– Responding to a request made through Valley Communication, officers responded at 1 a.m. to Black Diamond and the scene of a commercial burglary in progress.

– An incident of indecent exposure was reported to police at 8:49 p.m. A caller said a man was exposing himself. A check of the area was negative.

June 23

– Police responded to a Roosevelt Avenue location after hearing of a dispute. An officer made contact with one of the involved individuals while a second person fled the scene. Everything appeared OK at the time and remaining party agreed to keep everything secured.

– A citizen called police at 2:25 a.m. after finding a stolen U-Haul truck. Contact was made, the truck was impounded and an investigation was initiated.

June 27

– An officer was dispatched at 9:45 p.m. to the 32200 block of Morgan Drive following a complaint about fireworks. The issue was resolved upon police contact.

June 26

– Officers responded to the 30200 block of 234th Avenue Southeast after being told that someone had broken into a community mailbox, gaining access to all the individual boxes. At the time there had been no reports of stolen mail or information regarding a possible suspect. Pending additional information, the case was placed on inactive status.

June 25

– Police opened an investigation into a potential violation of a no-contact order. A victim of previous violations told officers the same suspect had contacted a bail bondsman and requested that the bondsman have the victim bail her out of jail. That request constituted another violation of the current order was was being investigated.

– A 5:05 a.m. report told of animal trouble in the 32500 block of Miners Street. A caller advised that a bear had dragged his garbage can into nearby woods and he wanted police to stand by while he recovered the can. Police granted the request; no bears were seen.

June 24

– An unwanted person was reported to be on property in the 30700 block of Third Avenue. Police contacted the individual who was an employee of a neighboring business and was sleeping in. his vehicle. He had an injured dog with him and police provided information about getting help for the animal.

June 23

– After being told of a sexual assault police responded to a 244th Avenue location. Investigation determined that the assault had occurred; a suspect was arrested and booked into the Enumclaw jail.

– Police were told of a business burglary in the 31100 block of Third Avenue. Upon police arrival the incident was confirmed and an investigation was conducted.

– At 11:11 p.m. the department took a complaint about excessive noise in the 33200 block of Mountain View Drive. About 15 minutes earlier police took a noise complaint from the 29400 block of 232nd Avenue. In both cases, the problem was resolved when police arrived.

– Just before 1 p.m. police were alerted to a two-car collision. Officers arrived, contacted the parties involved, and determined the driver traveling north on 216th Avenue Southeast had failed to stop at a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling east on Southeast 292nd Street.

– A parent arrived at the police station to report an adult son was missing and had not been contacted for six days. Investigation revealed the son was in custody at the SCORE jail in Des Moines. The parent was advised and the case was closed.

– More than $5,000 worth of lumber was reported stolen from a construction site on Eagle Peak Lane. There was no surveillance video or information regarding a possible suspect. The case was placed on inactive status pending further details.

– At 2:24 a.m. city police were dispatched to a residence in the 45300 block of 244th Avenue Southeast in Enumclaw. They assisted the Enumclaw Police Department with scene control and investigation during the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

June 22

– Police were told 117 sheets of plywood had been stolen from the site of new-home construction in the 22900 block of Southeast Sycamore Street. The project manager reported the theft occurred between 4 p.m. on June 21 and 7:30 a.m. on the 22nd. The loss was estimated at $8,600. There was no immediate suspect information.

– Police were told of a violation of a no-contact order. A caller was visiting Black Diamond and received a message via social media; by delivering the message, the sender violated the terms of an order issued in Seattle.

June 21

– At 1:30 p.m. an officer was directed to a two-car collision on Southeast 288th Street at 234th Avenue Southeast. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and everyone involved refused medical aid. A report was completed by the Washington State Patrol and the at-fault driver was issued an infraction for inattentive driving.

– Due to a traffic infraction, a vehicle was stopped at 5:32 a.m. in the 22100 block of Southeast 288th Street. Investigation determined the driver was wanted on an arrest warrant. The driver was taken into custody and booked into jail, with other charges added stemming from the incident.
