The Plateau Community Orchestra will host a spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Enumclaw High School auditorium.

Music will consist of selections from Bach, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, as well as an exciting arrangement of favorite American folk tunes, and a special presentation of “Tango” for two harps by Carlos Salzedo, arranged for orchestra by local composer, Brent Irwin of the Auburn Symphony. The harpist for the piece will be Karen Reinbolt and her daughter Cassie.

Cost of admission is voluntary donation at the door. As a nonprofit organization, the orchestra is funded by member donations, concert donations and supporting grants through the city of Enumclaw and 4Culture. This performance is made possible through a grant by 4Culture of King County and the 1 percent for the Arts hotel-motel lodging tax.

The community orchestra, under the direction of Erin Lampe, is ending its sixth season. Eager to welcome new members, the group rehearses at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in the Enumclaw Middle School band room. Members of the orchestra reside in Enumclaw, Buckley and surrounding areas. Many are music students in the Enumclaw and White River school districts.
