Monday, March 7

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

–Councilmembers will proclaim March 2016 Women’s History Month in King County

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • An ordinance relating to soliciting and accepting gifts, bequests and donations for department of public health purposes (Substitute Ordinance 2015-0363.2).
  • An ordinance amending King County stormwater and surface water management requirements to comply with state requirements for stormwater management and improve protection of water quality, aquatic resources, public health, safety and welfare (Substitute Ordinance 2016-0012.2).

 

Tuesday, March 8

Government Accountability and Oversight Committee– 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • A motion requesting that the executive develop and transmit a report that reviews the potential impacts of the upcoming auction of federally licensed broadcasting frequencies on King County taxpayers, residents and businesses (Motion 2016-0123).

Law, and Justice Committee – 1:30 p.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • A motion authorizing King County Medic One emergency medical services to establish and administer the King County Medic One/EMS Citizen Hero Recognition Program (Motion 2016-0105).

 

Briefing:

  • Law and Justice Committee Staff Workplan for Identifying the Scope of Racial Disparities in the King County Criminal Justice System and for Developing Plans to Address Disproportionality (Briefing No. 2016-B0052).

Wednesday, March 9

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • A motion approving the report on operations related to the Northshore public health and operations facility and plan for continued delivery of services currently provided at the Northshore public health center at a fixed location in  response to the 2015/2016 Biennial Budget Ordinance (Motion 2015-0180).

Regional Policy Committee – 3:00 p.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • A motion approving the Independent Advanced Life Support (ALS) Study Scope of Work as identified in the Medic One/Emergency Medical Services 2014‑2019 Strategic Plan (Motion 2016-0160).

 

Discussion:

  • An ordinance relating to the best starts for kids youth and family homelessness prevention initiative implementation plan (Ordinance 2016-0156).
