SINGLE EVENTS

March 3

■ Enumclaw’s Urban Sanctuary is hosting a “Hearts or Shamrocks” mixed-media art sessions (fiber art, paint, and more) every Thursday through Saturday until March 12. The workshops are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and are $15 per hour, with all supplies, tools, and instruction included. March 12

■ Cascade Mountain Men will be descending on the Enumclaw Expo Center for their annual Muzzle-loading Arms Show March 12 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and 13 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) commemorating Colonial America and the fur trade. The event features traditional (pre-1840s) muzzle-loading firearms (original, custom, production replicas, and gun building kits), shooting supplies, leather and fur goods, period clothing and camping gear, Native American crafts, period archery, and more. There will also be live demonstrations of how pioneers and buck skinners lived on the trail. Admission is $10 per day, although children under 12 receive free admission; children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, visit www.cascademountainmen.com.

March 15

■ The Enumclaw Schools Foundation is hosting its 12th annual fundraising luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Enumclaw Expo Field House. RSVP by March 1 by emailing info@esfwaorg.

March 18

■ The Country Chicks Market returns to the Enumclaw Expo Center on Friday, March 18 (noon to 8 p.m.) and Saturday, March 19 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Myriad products will be sold at the market, like upcycled furniture, farmhouse decor, garden art, jewelry, candles and soap, and more. There will also be food and fine available. Entry to the market is $5 per person (or for free during Happy Hour on Friday, 5 to 8 p.m.), but parking is free. Any interest in being a vendor should email countrychicksllc@gmail.com.

■ Molen Orthodontics is celebrating its 50th anniversary from 5 to 8 p.m. at its Sumner location (16209 64th St. E). There will be refreshments and prizes at the event. RSPV by March 11 at molen50th.eventbrite.com.

March 19

■ The Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first in-person 5K race since the COVID-19 pandemic began at the Enumclaw Expo Center. The event, which is a USA Track and Field (USATF) certified course, begins registration at 8:30 a.m. The Kid’s Dash then starts at 9 a.m., and the regular 5K at 9:30 a.m. Preregistration (before March 9) is $40; after March 9, $45; and the day of the event, $50. Finally, make sure to come dressed up in green, rock a costume, or even bring your dog.

March 20

■ The KCLS Enumclaw branch is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Moderna, Pfizer, and Janssen+Pediatric Pfizer vaccinations will be available. There will be limited walk-up appointments available and it is highly encouraged to pre-register to secure a dose. March 26

■ The Enumclaw Rotary and the Rotary Foundation is hosting its 29th annual Father Daughter dance in the Enumclaw High School commons. The theme this year is “You Are My Sunshine”. The event will be broken down into three sessions: Session 1 will be 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Session 2 will be from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Session 3 will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sessions are limited to 150 attendees each. Tickets to the event, which are $35 for a father and daughter together, and $5 for any additional daughters, can be bought on the Enumclaw Rotary Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Enumclaw-Rotary-Daddy-Daughter-Dance-300679363906876/ (proceeds from the dance fund local high school scholarships). This event will be following the CDC guidelines in place on March 26, so be prepared to wear masks if required (except when taking pictures, eating or drinking).

■ Grace Point Northwest Church is hosting its annual Wild Game Feed at the Enumclaw Expo Center Field House, with doors opening at 5 p.m. The Wild Game Feed is all about eating what you hunt — so far, the dinner will consist of elk and salmon, but attendees are encouraged to bring an appetizer of something they caught or shot. There will also be games and raffles, with proceeds going toward GPNW. The event is free to attend, but there’s a suggested $10 donation at the door.

RECURRING EVENTS

Coffee with the Mayor

• Coffee with the Mayor is held at City Hall on every first Monday of the month (Tuesday if it is on a holiday) from 9 to 10 a.m. This is a casual session for citizens to meet with Mayor Jan Molinaro to discuss issues, concerns, and projects.

Brewskis with a Newsie

• Come meet your local journalists on the first Wednesday of each month at Cole Street Brewery (1627 Cole Street, Enumclaw) from 5 to 6 p.m. This is an informal event where residents can pitch stories, fact-check articles, and talk shop. Magic: The Gathering — Casual Commander Tuesdays

• Enumclaw’s Game Vault hosts a casual, multi-player Magic: The Gathering session every Tuesday starting at 6 p.m., where you can play your favorite Commander (with no limitations on power level). Price of admission is $5, and includes a soda and snack.

Weekly Dungeons & Dragons Sessions

• The Game Vault hosts D&D sessions every Wednesday, starting at 6:30 p.m.; participants can create a character ahead of time through the Discord group, “The Vaulted” (passcode R3FEhNnt), or at the start of the event. Participants do not need to attend every week — the event is drop-in, drop-out friendly. Call ahead to RSVP, as space is limited.
