Elk, salmon, and more is on the menu for this year’s annual Wild Game Feed.

Organized by the Grace Point Northwest Church men’s ministry group, the event is all about celebrating the hunt — but also about making important social connections with people who share your passions.

Eric Anderson, who has been spearheading the event since 2020, said he started the event to encourage people, men in particular, to reach out to others when they’re feeling depressed. While both men and women experience depression, men typically recognize the symptoms less, are more unwilling to discuss their symptoms when they do, and are more likely to die by suicide, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.

The Feed, which is this Saturday, March 26 at the Enumclaw Expo Center’s Field House, opens its doors at 5 p.m. The event is free, but a $10 donation is suggested.

Main courses are already being provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring an appetizer — something they shot or caught, of course.

There will also be games and raffles that raise money for GPNW.
