BUCKLEY POLICE BLOTTER

TIPSY MINOR: At 2:31 a.m. May 11, an 18-year-old was stopped for speeding on state Route 410 near the Upper Cemetery Road and found to be driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol under the age of 21. He was arrested and booked in the Buckley Jail without incident.

PROPERTY DISPUTE: An officer was dispatched to a report of trespassers to a Hillside Drive property at 2:49 p.m. May 11. The accused trespassers were former homeowners at the address, but the property was foreclosed by the bank. Bank representatives arrived and instructed the persons to vacate the premises. They left the property without incident. Both parties are continuing to attempt to reconcile the issue.

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: An officer responded to a possible suicide attempt at a Ryan Road address shortly before 10 p.m. May 12. The subject was fine and the officer helped all parties involved fill out the paperwork for an involuntary commitment.

DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED: At 8:33 p.m. May 13, an officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration on SR 410 at the Lower Cemetery Road. Dispatch advised that the driver was driving on a suspended license. He was placed under arrest and released on scene with a criminal citation as well as an infraction for expired vehicle registration and no insurance.

BURGLARY ASSIST: At 11:41 a.m. May 15, an officer was asked to assist Enumclaw police and the Pierce County Sheriff with a possible burglary at 258th Avenue Court East. The deputy was an hour away from arrival, but the Buckley and Enumclaw officers cleared the residence and determined no problems.
