Kayleigh Perkins cruises to victory Sunday

After blowing an engine in the preliminaries, Kayleigh Perkins, 21, piloted the UL-72 Foster Care-Vitamin Water unlimited light boat to victory in the B Main qualifier and then the final race Sunday on Lake Washington. It was the Kentlake High graduate’s fifth straight win this year.

Brian Perkins, behind the wheel of the U-48 Albert Lee, finished third in Heat 2B at the Seafair Chevrolet Cup Sunday on Lake Washington with a speed of 123.377 mph. He finished fifth in heat 3B at 123.251.
