June 6

■ Officers were dispatched to a construction site on Tanner Avenue around 8 a.m. Approximately $10,000 worth of lumber in a trailer was stolen the previous day or night. A Puyallup police officers later found the trailer at a Home Depot; it’s unclear if the lumber was recovered.

■ Police checked the plates of a vehicle on SR 410 around 11:53 a.m. and found the owner had a suspended license. Officers had the car pull over and the driver was arrested. Upon a search, it was found he was in possession of meth, which was seized.

June 7

■ Officers were dispatched to a SR 410 gas station around 12:28 p.m. to a report of an unknown male who stole 26 scratch tickets.

June 11

■ Police trespassed a man from a SR 410 business after multiple negative interactions with staff; the man complained about prices being too high and attempted to fight another customer. Police contacted the man at his residence around 2:19 p.m. and served him a trespass letter.

June 12

■ Officers spotted a Dodge Durango towing a Chevrolet truck at 112th Street E. and Mundy Loss Road around 10:51 p.m. Police pulled the cars over because the Chevy had no tail lights ad the tow strap had come undone. It was determined the driver of the Dodge needed an ignition interlock device, which was not installed. He was arrested and told officers he had a firearm in his pocket. Police retrieved the gun and blue pills, which the man said was fentanyl. He also told officers the gun was from a friend, but an investigation showed it was actually stolen.

June 16

■ Police saw a car speeded on SR 410 around 12:10 a.m. and pulled the driver over. Officers suspected the driver was drunk, and he admitted to drinking. It was determined the man could not legally drive — twice over the limit — and was arrested

■ Officers saw another car speeding on Main Street and B Street around 11:33 p.m. Police believed the driver was under the influence, and he admitted to being on Suboxone, a narcotic. The driver was arrested.

June 13

■ Officers were dispatched to SE Evergreen Street around 7:15 p.m. to a report of children playing at a park. Officers found one child playing basketball.

■ Police went to Lake Sawyer around 8 p.m. to help with a disabled boat. Officers contacted the reporting party, who said he was able to secure the boat to a dock and arranged to recover it later.

June 14

■ Officers were called out to Mason Street around noon for a welfare check. They contacted an elderly man who appeared to be confused and not speak English; his son soon arrived to pick him up.

■ Police were called back to Lake Sawyer around 12:30 p.m. to help out with a disabled boat. Officers were able to tow the boat from one dock to another.

■ Officers received a report of a possible DUI on 3rd Avenue around 3 p.m. Police made contact with the driver and learned she was on the highway when her transmission went out. She was not impaired, and officers cleared the scene.

June 15

■ Police were called to SE Fir Street around 6:30 p.m. because a local’s belongings were locked in a park bathroom. Officers were able to get the key to the bathroom so the reporting party could retrieve their stuff.

June 19

■ Officers received a report of a speeding and swerving vehicle on Roberts Drive around 2:45 p.m. An updated report told police the car was heading north; officers could not locate a vehicle matching the description given.
