July 16

■ Officers helped resolve an argument on 1st Avenue around 7:25 p.m. The reporting party said someone threatened his dog; the person in question said the dog was off-leash and charged him, so he picked up a rock to defend himself before arguing with the owner. Neither person wanted to press charges.

■ Police stopped an unlicensed box truck on SE 288th Street around 9:46 p.m. for an equipment violation. After officers were given the driver’s license, the driver took off, but called 911 later saying police took his license. The driver met officers at the department, and it was determined there was a language barrier that led to a misunderstanding about being pulled over. A warning was given to the driver, and the license returned.
