Arnie was born in Fairfax, Washington and grew up in Carbonado, Washington. He graduated from White River High school in 1951 and joined the Navy until 1956. He worked for Napa Auto Parts for 40 years. A true renaissance man, he moved to “The Tunk Valley” in Eastern, Washington, with his wife Jody and homesteaded

235 acres for 20 years. Arnie was a beloved member of AA and on December 12, 2022, he celebrated 42 years of continued sobriety. Arnie is survived by his wife Jody, son Mikel Olsson (wife Christina), bonus sons Tyler Rogel (wife Dianne), Dan Rogel (wife Kerry), Malcolm Rogel (wife Joanne), and bonus daughter Tori Rogel Schneider (husband Kevin), 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother Bill Olson (wife Annette) and many other nieces and nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his daughter Linda Olson, and parents Marta and Erik Olsson, sisters Shirley Taylor, Arlene Orcutt, and brother Robert (Punk) Olson. A memorial will be held April 30, 2023, from 1pm until 5pm at the Carbonado Community Church Hall in Carbonado. Desserts and sides are welcome.
