FATAL CRASH ROUNDUP: State route 410 was closed for a few hours last Friday afternoon following a fatal collision. According to the Washington State Patrol, an eastbound driver was reaching for their cell phone when they swerved into the westbound lane and hit another vehicle. The eastbound driver, from Maple Valley was flown to Harborview Medical Center; the driver and passenger of the other vehicle, from Tacoma, were dead on the scene. No charges against the alleged at-fault have been filed as of Sunday, April 30. The Courier-Herald typically does not name suspects until charges are officially filed.
DUNN TOWN HALL: King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn, representing the Plateau, is hosting a town hall meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 4 at the Neuwaukum Wedding and Event Hall in Auburn. Also present will be Undersheriff Jesse Anderson and Director of Local Services John Taylor.

KCLS UPDATE: The King County Library System recently announced it is doing away with late fees.
