Expect heavy traffic this weekend due to the King County Fair

Battersby, Roosevelt, and Warner avenues at 284th Street will be congested July 13 - 16

With a hoped-for 52,000-plus people descending on the Enumclaw Expo Center this weekend for the King County Fair, traffic on Roosevelt, Warner, and 284th could be difficult to navigate.

That means anyone going to the fair should plan ahead if they want to make a specific show or event, and anyone not going might want to find other ways to get into east Enumclaw.

The King County Fair starts tomorrow, July 13, and goes through the weekend.

According to the Enumclaw Police Department, traffic will be heaviest at the intersections of 284th Avenue SE and Roosevelt Avenue and Warner Avenue, plus additional congestion at the Battersby Avenue intersection.

The particular times when the EPD expects traffic are Friday and Saturday mornings and evenings, due to the rodeo and livestock being brought in and out of the Expo Center.

Two officers will be posted at the Roosevelt intersection and another at the Warner intersection to help direct traffic.

Official parking at the Expo Center are south of the fairgrounds, with the North Lot between Roosevelt and Warner, and the South Lot and overflow parking lot just south of Warner.
