Wilkeson’s town hall is turning 100 this Friday.

On Sept. 15, the you can head to the building at 540 Church Street to experience traditions of the town’s past with live entertainment, historical activities, and refreshments from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

For part of those activities, the Tenino Stone Carvers Guild have a historical stone splitting demonstration at 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. at town hall. Each split will take roughly 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

There will also be performances by Karen Haas and Kye Hillig; the former will be taking on the role of Abbey Hill, a female artist who worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad and will tell her story about traveling through the Carbon River area to paint Eunice Lake, while the latter will be playing live music.
