SR 410 crash sends juveniles to Harborview; dog found | Corrected

A speeding car attempting an illegal pass hit another head-on.

Correction: The original article misreported that four juveniles were involved in the collision. There was one adult driver and three children under the age of ten.

A multi-car crash on state Route 410 led to multiple children being sent to the hospital and a missing dog last weekend.

On Oct. 21, around 6:30 p.m. near milepost 33 east of Enumclaw, vehicle one, being driven by a Kent resident, was traveling west behind another vehicle when it attempted to illegally pass it in a no-passing zone via the eastbound lane, according to a Washington State Patrol report.

The vehicle struck another car — containing a Bremerton driver and three children, all under the age of ten — heading east, and then swerved back into the westbound lane, hitting a third car.

The adult and children of the second car were sent to Harborview Medical Center, and the driver that hit them to St. Elizabeth Hospital; the driver and passenger of the third car were uninjured.

According to KIRO news, a white pitbull mix called Tina jump out of one of the cars after the crash. Tina was found on Oct. 22.
