The Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized Kelsey Sonneson, Alyssa Wagner and Nyssa Schlager as Students of The Month during its May 19 meeting.
Sonneson, the daughter of Molly and Keith Sonneson of Enumclaw, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School. She maintains a 3.85 grade-point average and is a member of the National Honor Society and a senior class officer. She has participated in basketball, volleyball, track, swimmin and water polo. She plans to attend Renton Technical College to get her Certified Nursing Assistant certification and then work toward becoming a registered nurse and eventually earn a bachelor of science in nursing degree.
Wagner, the daughter of Shannon and Robert Wagner of Buckley, was the recipient from White River High. A strong academic student, Wagner has taken two Advanced Placement classes and has a 3.65 grade-point average. She also plays soccer, is a club officer with the Connections Club and has been a volunteer with the food bank. She has received a scholarship to study as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Pierce College with the hope of attending medical school to be a psychologist.
Schlager, the daughter of Melanie and Mark Schlager of Black Diamond, was the recipient from White River Alterna-tive Programs. She has attended Collins/White River Alterna-tive for the past four years and will graduate in June. She is the mother of an 18-month-old daughter. Schlager plans to attend Green River Community College and work toward a business degree with plans to own her own business.
