June 22, 1960 – July 14, 2024
Bonney Lake — Brian Hall never passed up a bike ride, or a good beer, or a fresh cup of coffee, or another helping of dinner.
Brian was born on June 22, 1960 in Seattle, WA to his parents, Celeste and Jackie. He grew up in Burien, WA and was the only brother among three sisters. Growing up, he was a Cub Scout and played the trombone in his high school stage band. Brian graduated from Evergreen High School in 1978.
Brian met the love of his life, Elizabeth Best, in 1978 and the two married on October 3, 1981. They spent the first ten years of their marriage traveling and growing their careers. Brian and Elizabeth went on to have two children, Jessica and Brandon. Brian was a loving and involved husband and father. He and his family resided in Lake Tapps, enjoying many summers at the lake. He enjoyed working on projects around the house, supporting his kids’ activities, and traveling around Washington with his family.
One of Brian’s first jobs was at Sears, where he worked in customer service, security, and automotive. He then went on to work at Boeing , just like his father did. Brian spent his career in IT project management, with his most recent role at Elyon International.
Brian loved life. Aside from his family, his greatest joy was bicycling. He always said “the ideal number of bikes to own is x+1, with x being the number of bikes you already have.” He participated in the one-day Seattle to Portland ride twice, along with countless other local races and rides. He believed that if you didn’t track your bike ride on Strava, it didn’t count. He also loved coffee, beer, ice cream, jazz music, happy hour, and grilling. Brian was a man of faith and, in recent years, found community within Calvary Community Church in Summer.
Brian passed away on Sunday, July 14 after a 9-month journey (he didn’t call it a battle!) with lymphoma. His bravery, courage, and strength will always be remembered.
Brian is survived by his wife, children, mother, three sisters, beloved pup Daisy, and many loving family members and friends.
A service will be held sometime in late summer; details to be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brian’s Fred Hutch Obliteride team: Mr. Hall’s Biggest Fans. 100% of the proceeds go to cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and cures.
